Birthday Party

Hi Everyone,

Finally, back on business!
This past Saturday night, we celebrated Claudia's farewell party and my birthday. The bash was held at her place. She prepared some delicious Lasagna that will definitely water your mouth. Then Ume made some sushis and last but not least Pong, our genius-thai cook prepared some scrumptious 'dragon meat balls'. Anyways, the atmosphere was so colourful and nice sparking nice discussions around the 12-people dinner table.
So far so good, time for dessert. Consequently, Timo made a huge cake (his trademark). We 'destroyed' the cake, then had to drink some coffee to stay awake..
A short moment later, i was watching the France/Germany football game, then at my biggest surprise, the light went off and Claudia and Alicia along with Timo came with a gift. So nice of everyone for being so thoughtful.. I was not used to it anymore...
They bought for me a nice/cute/magnificent basketball jersey and signed a nice card full of nice words...
After all this being said, we went out clubbing to shake it off...Amarillo was the pick of the night...
If i had a wish tonight, it would be to have all my other friends over here.. they will recognize themselves somewhere on earth...

Ramadan Party

Last Friday, was held a ramadan gathering party in my place. Jon and Alicia fasted and experienced Ramadan's pain & pleasure :)
We were exactly 12, squeezed tight in my living room. The food was of the chain (naturally) where Pong did an amaaaazing job. 2 thumbs up !
We ate so much so that at the end some of us layed on the bed...
Bottom line, a great night amidst a good atmosphere sparking some good discussions.

Second Once Again !!

For the second time, we lost in the final at the university tournament. Such is football. The other team notched a 2-1 win during a tough 'finnish' game.
We will try to do better next time. We'll keep going till we hit the spot (whoa)

Marisa's Farewell Party

Last Saturday has been eventful with Marisa's farewell party, yeah (I know) another one. She invited us to her flat for a scrumptious italian dinner. We had lasagna, bruschetta, cakes, ice-creams and drinks (not for me !). We were around 10 people. I attached some shots so you can picture the scenary.
You should be able now to recognize Pong (Bangkok), Flavio+Claudia+Marco (Florence), Jon (Euskadi), Soraya+Alicia (Cataluña), Timo+Hanna(Suomi), Marnie (Australia)...This is how we do and it is called achieving full diversity.

Happy Birthday Timo

So far so good and Moving on to Timo's birthday bash that has taken place last saturday. I'mma hit you with you with some pics..Ya'll have an idea on what's popping over here and also about the dynamics..You can notice how multi-ethnic this place is and matter of fact the only finn is Timo (sittin'). The other peeps are representing almost every continent (i said almost :o))..
On the other pic, Timo is slicing the wonderful cake he made himself (believe it or not) around some claps..

Alright Alright.. I'm back to O-town...I ain't feeling good right now..so i hope i'm gonna smoothly adjust back to the finish way of life..ya know what i'm talking about .
Life sucks right now ...so let´s see if something good is going to pop up..cuz i really need that...

An aquarium with a lot of fish !!!

Reading the entry's title, one can picture what i'm talking about. I was just chatting with Flavio a while ago about it. It's totally crazy. I wonder how my brother can still focus on both tennis and school (I wouldn't). Sometimes, if you do speak a particular language (french), you can really do some amazing things (sorry no details). It's been once again a learning process. I didn't believe it of course. But as the saying goes seeing is believing....

Freaking ATL Weather..What's Wrong With You !!!

Sorry guys, but i couldn't update my entry. Not that i've been busy, but it's just that I didn't put my mind into it pretty much. Hotman (my bro) has some finals this week so he's just focusing and studying HARD. I borrowed his car yesterday to go to Walmart for some shopping. Unfortunately, I realized that i lost my driving ability, it's awful !! - God Damn It -
In the mean time, I'm patiently waiting for my parents to come so we can go to Florida and get some real weather + the beach of course..
Yesterday, it was pouring BIG TIME over here. I just spent the day working out and reading in the library. I went to the apartment complex swimming pool in the night where I met some nice people. We were chatting about America. What brough me here ? How is it going in Finland ? - This come as no surprise. If you thought that they cannot locate Paris on a map, you have no idea if you ask them about Finland.. This country should include some geography classes in the elementary school program...No FOR REAL..
Tomorrow, Hotman wants to invite his croatian girls crew friends at home. So, i will have to cook for them some moroccan food. It's gonna be very interesting..I have no idea how it is going to be...

Back to the american way of life

Holla everybody,

A quick entry here trying to keep up with my blogging. After my arival in ATL, i spent most of the time with my brother Othman. He's at the moment quite busy preparing his finals. Anyways, he always finds some time to play tennis as he had to play a tournament on Saturday morning (double mixte) with his nice croatian partner Anna. They won in three sets..I was watching the whole game sitting and talking to some nice people out there...
Then, we went shopping at Walmart (i love this place!!), we bought some furnitures for him as he just moved in his new apartment. So you know the story..
After doing some fixing and cleaning work, we went out with some nice friends of Othman to Vision Club, one of the biggest club ever seen in my life..For the curious of ya'll, it's the place where they shoot the Usher's video 'Yeah'..anyways, it was very nice having my favourite groove and vibe up in there..

This is it for now..I'll try to get back to you..I can't do as good as Gareth..(It's still a learning process buddy G)..but i promise to do my best...I'm also in the mean time writing my Turku's diary...about to drop soon...

It seems like yesterday...

Here i go, I made it safe here to the ATL. I haven't had the most pleasant and enjoyable transatlantic flight because I was so freaking tired (no sleep at the airport), the seat was so tight and small, and I pretty much slept (tried to) during the duration of the flight, being just awake when it came to eating some food.
Now, for those (and God knows how many you are) who want to know how it did go with the 'folks'. It actually went pretty smooth this time. It took just 2 hours (my personnal best). I guess we are some sort of relative now ...
Anyways, my brother picked me from the airport and some weird feeling struck me being back here one year later. It almost felt like i was here yesterday..Time goes by so fast...God damn it !!!

On the way to the ATL

Here i go, i just left Oulu, Finland for my deserved holidays. As i mentionned in another entry, time has come for me to get some rest and relaxation and above all spend some good time with my beloved parents and brother. Today, was a especial day with a lot of feelings in the air for a reason that i don´t want to mention right now (keep reading this blog)
Right now, i´m in Helsinki airport waiting for my connection to Amsterdam, it is the first time that i fly through Amsterdam, but i have some plans to go there to run my marathon..
anyways, i´m not gonna say a lot of things, cuz i´m writing from an internet access in the airport and time is ticking so fast...i will let you know how it goes with the fellas over there...

The other day, i went with my friends (Simo, Dea, Flavio, Vanni and Gareth) to the Nalikarri beach. We decided that after running with Dea(behind the wonderful idea). We prepared quickly the dinner then rode our bikes until the beach. It was a lovely sunny day. We hanged out on the beach first, had our dinner then took tons of pictures...It was a special day to be remembered.

Lost and Found

According to the famous quote (i'm not veny cnear), i resolved an inner mistery this past 2 weeks. Things started out when i went to run with my buddy Jon 12K (he just run his first marathon). I didn't believe that i could run that long..So now, i decided to run every two-days and most likely increase the distance..
Who knows, maybe one day i will get to run a marathon.. That would be off the chain..

This is it, i'm about to leave the O-town for the Hotlanta. Since day one, it's been hanging out in my mind, day-dreaming about it everyday..it's just a matter of time now..I can't believe it how i could stand this long..Nevertheless, i have to say that lately, i have spent some really good times with my G's.
